*Requests to compete in a different state championships to the state you reside may be accepted if dates conflict with your ability to compete.
In the event that your request is confirmed, the competitor will not be eligible to place at the state championships however will be eligible for a chance to compete in the national finals. Requests are to be made via email to [email protected]
APC Divisions in all championships across the country
Professional, Amateur, Group & Battle
In the event you need to move divisions for unforeseen circumstances, you may send a request to do so. Requests are to be made via email to [email protected]

Professional Division
You may enter the Professional Division of APC if the following applies to you:
You have competed in a state heat of APC or MPD at a Professional level. Please note you must compete in a state heat each year prior to being accepted into the national finals.
You have competed in a state heat or national finals of APC or MPD and placed in the Amateur Division
(Excluding Sponsors Choice & Peoples Choice Winners)
You have competed in any international pole competition in person.
Amateur Division
You may enter the Amateur Division of APC if the following applies to you:
You have not competed in a state heat of APC, MPD or an in person International competition at a Professional level.
You have not competed in a state heat or national finals of APC, MPD
or in person International competition or placed in the Amateur Division
(Excluding Sponsors Choice & Peoples Choice Winners).
You have competed in other competitions apart from APC, MPD or an in person International competition.
You have placed, competed or won an Amateur, Semi-Professional, or Professional pole competition that is not APC, MPD or in person International competition.
You have competed in a Group division of any pole competition.
You have competed in the Battle division of any pole competition.
Group Division
You may enter the Group Division of APC if the following applies to you:
Professional or Amateur, all genders and between 2-4 people.
Please note due to scaffold weight restrictions, no more than 3 people are to be on the poles at all times.
E.g. you can have 3 people on one pole, 2 people one pole and 1 on another, or 1 person on each pole, but never more than 3 people on both poles at one time.
More than 3 people on the poles at the same time will result in instant disqualification.
Battle Division
You may enter the Battle Division of APC if the following applies to you:
Professional or Amateur and all genders.
Videos must be between 2-3 minutes long for all divisions. All videos must be of a single routine and not different clips added together. Video entries do not have to be the routine you perform on the night. `Videos will be judged according to the criteria set out in the APC Rules & Regulations. Videos should not include any other persons other than the performer(s), human props, audience members and people in the background are acceptable as long as it is clear as to whom the competitor is. Class environments are not acceptable.
Judging Criteria
Professional, Amateur & Battle Divisions will be judged on
Technical Difficulty, Dance Movement & Stage presence
Group Division on all of the above plus synchronisation
